Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Carlos Rodón was activated from the 15-day injured list after undergoing surgery in October 2025 to remove loose bodies and shave a bone spur from his left elbow. He made his 2026 season debut on May 10 against the Milwaukee Brewers. While his velocity was impressive (averaging 95.7 mph, peaking at 97.7 mph), his command was problematic with 5 walks, 1 hit batter, and only 42 of 78 pitches for strikes across 4.1 innings. He struck out 4 but left with one out in the fifth inning. The Yankees lost 4-3. Rodón had an excellent 2025 season (18-9, 3.09 ERA, 203 K's in 195.1 IP, 3.2 fWAR) and is a three-time All-Star, but needs time to regain form after the lengthy recovery.
