Patrick Copen

Patrick Copen, 24-year-old right-handed pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, was named Texas League Pitcher of the Month for April 2026 after an exceptional start with Double-A Tulsa. In five starts, he posted a 3-0 record with a 0.96 ERA, 2.72 FIP, and 3.69 xFIP across 28 innings, striking out 37 batters while maintaining a .149 batting average against. He demonstrated two dominant performances allowing just one hit in 6+ innings with nine strikeouts each. Copen has shown significant improvement in his second year at Double-A, with his strikeout rate jumping from 23.1% to 33.6% and his walk rate improving from 16% to 12.7%. Notably, he has not allowed a home run in 2026 and only allowed two all of 2025. The 6'6", 220 lb prospect was drafted by the Dodgers in the seventh round of the 2023 MLB Draft out of Marshall University.
