Brady Singer, veteran right-hander for the Cincinnati Reds, was hit by a 106-107 mph comebacker just below his right ankle during Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals. He stayed in the game but showed signs of injury with reduced velocity and allowed three runs on six hits over 3.2 innings. X-rays came back negative. Singer reported feeling better Wednesday and expects to make his next scheduled start Sunday in Cleveland.
