Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Tyler Schweitzer, 25-year-old left-handed pitcher and No. 23 prospect in the White Sox organization, has received multiple MLB call-ups in 2026. After his initial debut on April 8 against Baltimore (1.1 IP, 1 ER, 1 K), he was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte where he posted a 2.91 ERA over 21.2 innings. Recalled again on May 8 to replace DFA'd Osvaldo Bido, Schweitzer made three appearances allowing 3 ER on 3 H and 2 BB over 2.2 IP before being optioned back to Charlotte on May 16. The reports indicate Schweitzer has shown improvement as a bullpen arm with better strike-throwing and productivity, though his early MLB performance has been inconsistent. He serves as a left-handed multi-inning relief option for the White Sox bullpen.
