Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Logan Webb, the San Francisco Giants' ace and two-time All-Star, was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 9, 2026, due to right knee bursitis. Webb has been dealing with knee discomfort for an extended period but attempted to pitch through it. He was removed after just 4 innings in his last start against the Padres on May 5, allowing 6 earned runs on 7 hits. This marks his first IL stint since July 2021. Webb is struggling significantly in 2026 with a 2-4 record, 5.06 ERA, 1.396 WHIP, and .275 opponent batting average through 8 starts. The injury may explain some of his poor performance, though questions remain about whether his best days may be behind him after three consecutive 200-inning seasons.
