Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Tyler Glasnow, Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher, was placed on the 15-day injured list with lower back spasms on May 8, 2026. He exited Wednesday's start against the Houston Astros after one inning when he felt back spasms during warm-ups for the second frame. Glasnow downplayed the severity, noting he has dealt with similar issues throughout his career. The Dodgers recalled Paul Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City as a corresponding move. Blake Snell is expected to be activated from the injured list to make his season debut. Glasnow has maintained a 2.72 ERA with 49 strikeouts in seven starts this season, performing at a top-of-the-rotation level when healthy. However, durability remains a concern as he has not reached 140 innings in an MLB season and has been on the injured list at least once annually since 2018.
