Tyler Glasnow, the Los Angeles Dodgers' All-Star right-handed pitcher, was placed on the 15-day injured list on May 9, 2026, with lower back spasms. He exited his start against the Houston Astros after just one inning on May 6 when he tweaked his lower back while warming up for the second frame. Through his first seven starts of the 2026 season, Glasnow posted a 2.72 ERA with 49 strikeouts across 39.2 innings, including a 6-game streak of at least 6 strikeouts per game and a 3-0 record with a 2.56 ERA in his first six starts. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that while there is no long-term concern, his recovery is progressing slower than expected and he has not yet begun throwing off a mound, though he is playing catch. This marks the third consecutive season Glasnow has dealt with an injury during his time with the Dodgers.
