Brendan Donovan, the Seattle Mariners' All-Star third baseman and key offseason acquisition, has been activated from the 10-day injured list after recovering from a left groin strain that sidelined him since April 18. Donovan underwent sports hernia surgery in the offseason and will require continued monitoring of the groin issue. He completed a rehab assignment with Double-A Arkansas, going 1-for-3 with a double and two walks. When healthy this season, Donovan has been one of the Mariners' best hitters with a .304 average, .437 OBP, .518 SLG, and .954 OPS with 3 home runs in 18 games played.
