Charlie Barnes was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers from the Chicago Cubs on May 6, 2026. The left-hander was designated for assignment by the Cubs after appearing in just one game for them on April 13, where he allowed four runs (three earned) over three innings. Barnes has struggled at the MLB level, posting a 0-3 record with a 5.92 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in nine games (eight starts) during his 2021 debut with the Minnesota Twins.
