Jacob Wilson, 24-year-old Athletics shortstop and 2025 All-Star, suffered a left shoulder subluxation (dislocated shoulder) on May 11, 2026, while diving to cut off an infield single by Gunnar Henderson in a game against the Orioles. He was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 12. MRI confirmed the injury. Wilson is not expected to require surgery and will begin a rehab program. No timetable for return has been established. Wilson had been rounding into form after a slow start to 2026, hitting .336 with an .826 OPS recently, but overall is batting .292/.311/.398 with 3 HRs in 39 games this season, down from his impressive 2025 rookie campaign (.311/.355/.444, 13 HRs, 2nd in AL ROY voting). He recently signed a 7-year, $70MM extension with the Athletics.
