Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson suffered a left shoulder subluxation/dislocation on May 10, 2026, while diving for a ground ball hit by Baltimore Orioles' Gunnar Henderson. Wilson was removed from the game in the fifth inning and placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to May 12. MRI confirmed the injury. Wilson is not expected to require surgery and will begin a rehab program, but there is no timetable for his return. This injury comes after Wilson signed a seven-year, $70MM extension in the offseason following a strong 2025 rookie season (.311/.355/.444, 13 HR, 2nd in AL ROY voting). His 2026 performance had been declining (.292/.311/.398, 3 HR in 168 PA) before the injury.
