Scouting Report
Updated May 20, 2026
Jackson Holliday, 22-year-old Baltimore Orioles infielder and former first overall pick, is working his way back from a hamate bone fracture suffered in spring training. He has resumed his third minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake after two previous stints were paused due to renewed soreness in his surgically-repaired right hand. Holliday is being given reps at third base during rehab, though he has been primarily a second baseman at the big-league level. He has struggled offensively in rehab, hitting just .176/.250/.235 in 14 games. In 2025, his first full MLB season, he slashed .242/.314/.375 with 17 homers and 55 RBI in 149 games, but posted poor defensive metrics with -10 DRS and -8 OAA at second base.
