Jake Meyers is recovering from an oblique strain and began a rehab assignment in early May 2026. He played in a Double-A Corpus Christi rehab game on May 12, 2026, where he flied out on his first at-bat and was thrown out on a tapper in his second plate appearance. The Astros expect to activate him later in May after completing his rehab stint. Meyers has been on the injured list for more than a month but is nearing return to the Houston Astros' lineup.
