Sean Murphy, 31-year-old Braves catcher, suffered a fractured left middle finger on May 11, 2026 during catcher's interference when Hyeseong Kim's bat clipped his glove. Murphy was placed on the 10-day IL retroactive to May 11. Manager Walt Weiss indicated Murphy will miss at least 8 weeks with the fracture extending into July and potentially beyond the All-Star break. This injury comes just four games into Murphy's 2026 season after he spent the first month-plus rehabbing from hip surgery (September 2025).
