Jasson Dominguez suffered a low-grade AC sprain in his left shoulder after colliding with the outfield wall at Yankee Stadium on May 7, 2026, while making a catch in the first inning. He was carted off the field and underwent an MRI. Concussion tests came back negative, though he remains in concussion protocol. Manager Aaron Boone indicated the injury will keep him out for "a few weeks." This is a significant setback for the 23-year-old outfielder who was just beginning to get regular playing time after starting the season in Triple-A.
