Scouting Report
Updated May 19, 2026
Brandon Lockridge, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder, was placed on the 10-day injured list after suffering a laceration and contusion to his right knee on May 8, 2026. Lockridge crashed into the side wall while attempting to catch a foul ball hit by Cody Bellinger in the fourth inning. Initial X-rays showed no fracture, but the laceration extends down to the bone and significant swelling requires an MRI to determine full extent of damage. Manager Pat Murphy estimates best-case scenario would have Lockridge miss approximately one month. Blake Perkins was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to replace him on the roster.
Strengths

Weaknesses
- - Severe laceration extending to bone
- - Significant swelling requiring MRI for full assessment
- - Estimated one-month minimum recovery time
- - Defensive collision-related injury reduces confidence in return timeline
- - Potential for complications from deep laceration
Injury Status: IL-10 -- Right knee laceration and contusion sustained from collision with concrete wall section below padding. Laceration extends to bone. No fracture detected on initial X-rays, but significant swelling present requiring MRI evaluation for additional soft tissue damage.
