Eury Perez struggled in a losing effort against the Rays on Sunday afternoon, surrendering five runs on five hits over five innings.

The right-hander struck out five batters in the ballgame while issuing four free passes. He served up solo homers to Junior Caminero in the first inning and Yandy Diaz in the fifth while allowing a three-run triple to Taylor Walls in the fourth inning. Perez generated 10 whiffs on 102 pitches on the afternoon, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He'll attempt to bounce back as he brings an uninspiring 5.33 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 58/28 K/BB ratio into Friday's matchup against the Mets.
