Zac Gallen allowed seven runs with four strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in a loss against the Rangers on Tuesday.

Gallen served up a solo homer to Joc Pederson in the bottom of the first inning. A walk, a hit batter, and a base hit put a second run on the board for the Rangers in the second. Ezequiel Duran made it three with a solo blast in the fourth. Gallen ran into more trouble in the fifth. Texas brought two more runs in before he was relieved with two runners on and two outs in the frame. Both inherited runners would come in to score. The 30-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 5.23 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and a 29/14 K/BB ratio across 43 innings. He'll look to bounce back against the Giants in Arizona on Monday.
